Camdeboo Ostrich Meat

Ostrich meat is a healthy red meat with low cholesterol levels and an appealing texture and flavour.

Camdeboo ostrich cuts are derived from the carcasses of free-range farmed ostriches raised by our producers under ideal conditions in the healthy, sparse rainfall central Karoo region surrounding the town of Graaff-Reinet. In the town itself, our company owns a modern abattoir and meat de-boning factory. Both facilities are built and managed to exacting EU standards. Our international export plant numbers are ZA 8 and ZA 11.

After slaughter, the carcasses are de-boned by highly trained staff in our temperature controlled factory. Individual muscles are separated, de-membraned, trimmed and finally vacuum packed. Maintenance of the "Cold Chain" is ensured with strict monitoring of product temperatures from our factory to destinations in Europe and the Far East.
